AUSiMED’s latest initiative confronts the growing global crisis of PTSD and psychological distress impacting children and adults alike.

PTSD is a mental health condition that develops after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event, or after prolonged exposure to severe stress. It is the brain’s survival system remaining switched on after events have passed.

AUSiMED is supporting two complementary projects aimed at developing practical solutions to improve how PTSD and psychological trauma are addressed in real-world settings.
